As perhaps the biggest rivalry in sports, Yankees vs Red Sox is conflict dating back decades, a part of the national pastime as ingrained as the national anthem, the seventh inning stretch and hot dogs.
Each year it seems there is more on the line, more to compete for, more grudges to settle and more to play for. The Yankees Red Sox rivalry hasn’t been the same since 2004 greatest comeback in the history of the world, and this year hank and Cashman one-upped the Sox and scooped Mark Teixeira out from under them after signing C.C. Sabathia and A.J. Burnett to ludicrous deals. The Yankees definitely won the spending contest this off-season, while the Red Sox made some low-risk high0reward signing to complement a team that came with a David Price of going to a consecutive World Series.
The 2009 baseball season can’t get here soon enough, and once it does Yankees Vs Red Sox is going to be covering every aspect of the season.
